Q: Are drivers required for PPA Firewire controllers?
A: No additional drivers are required - drivers are native to the O/S
Q: I have installed the Firewire controller, but it's not detected. Why?
A: Remove the controller and reinstall in an alternate PCI / PCI-E slot
Q: My Firewire controller has a power connection. Is this necessary?
A: The 12 volt connector is provided to power bus devices. When attaching devices that do not have independent power, this connector must be used

Q: What operating systems are supported by the PPA SATA controller?
A: Windows 98se / ME / 2000 / XP / Vista / 7 - Linux
Q: My SATA II drive is not being detected by the SATA I controller. Why?
A: Some drives may require jumper settings for SATA I detection. Contact disk drive manufacturer for proper jumper settings
Q: What are the supported RAID configurations for the PCI SATA controller?
A: Controllers #1325 and #1356 support: 0, 1, 0+1, JBOD
Q: My SATA controller installed a RAID controller, but I don't intend to use RAID.
A: If only one drive is attached, or a RAID configuration is not set, drive will function in non-RAID mode

A: Two SATA and two PATA drives

Q: The controller shows Vista support, but no Vista drives are included. Why?
A: For Windows Vista / 7, no additional drivers are required. Once installed, the controller will be auto-detected by the operating system
Q: My PCMCIA controller has a power connection. What are the requirments?
A: The USB PCMCIA controller uses a 5 volt, 2 amp power adapter with inside positive polarity

A: No additional drivers are required. Once connected, device will be auto-detected by the operating system
Q: My USB Hub contains an extra cable with a power connection. Why?
A: This is an optional 5 volt USB power cable, which can be used to provide additional power to the hub for device detection
